To
help people attain the
results they want in life, I
use a variety of tools.
I teach, explore
alternatives, inspire, act
as sounding board, build
confidence and capability,
facilitate learning, ask
questions, listen with
compassion, develop skills,
create ownership, provide a
challenge, act as a model,
taskmaster, mentor and
explore potential. I can be
a resource and a
motivator. A coach often
acts as a partner, providing
clients with tools, support
and structure to achieve
more than they might be able
to do by themselves.
COACHING IS AN
ALTERNATIVE TO THERAPY
Therapy deals with
psychological issues that
are usually rooted in the
past. I work with the
present and future desires
and dreams. I may, however,
help a client to identify or
articulate blocks or
obstacles to gaining the
desired results. This may be
one way of acknowledging
current realities. At the
same time I typically assist
clients to discover their
inner resources and other
alternatives which can
reduce or eliminate such
barriers.

A coach
envisions a world where
people make decisions and
choices in life based on
confidence and a healthy
self-image, not on fear or
neediness. A coaching
mission is to empower people
to strengthen themselves via
a positive attitude and
progressive action resulting
in change and evolution in
personal development.
